IV Sedation Dentistry
Professional dental care while you drift off in a relaxing, sleepy, dream-like state.
Do you have a fear or phobia of dental procedures, that has stopped you from getting your dental care?
Happy Gas/Laughing Gas
Although we offer happy gas for our patients at Chermside Dental Care (Happy Gas Info Page), sometimes patients want to be ‘put under’. For this option, if we want to avoid a full hospital visit and GA, we now offer IV Sedation with a specialist Anaesthetist on-site at Chermside Dental Care in Brisbane’s North.
Intravenous (IV) Sedation Dentistry
We understand that some patients have had bad experiences in the past, and have a phobia of the dentist. We want to help our patients, so we have enlisted an Anaesthetist to help.
With our Anaesthetist at Chermside Dental Care in Brisbane, we are able to recommend twilight sedation, also known as IV (intravenous) sedation, for your dental procedures. IV sedation for dental procedures in Brisbane is a fantastic option for our patients.
IV Sedation for dental patients in Brisbane is extremely safe and highly effective in ensuring your dental visit is relaxing and painless. Our Anaesthetic Specialist will give you safe IV anaesthetics to ease you into a sleepy, dream-like state for the whole procedure. The medications are quick and effective, and you will be in a relaxed, sleepy and pleasant dream-like state. You will be comfortable and unaware of your surroundings and have no recollection of the procedure. Comprehensive continuous patient monitoring will be performed which includes CO2 levels, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, heart rate and ECG.
