GP Orthodontics at Chermside Dental Care, in Brisbane's Northside

Here at Chermside Dental Care in Brisbane's Northside, we firmly believe in creating a beautiful smile for your, or your child's face. To do this, we take all the necessary xrays, photos and records to analyse where the jaw bones and teeth need to be, using the growth phases, to give you a full, supportive smile.orthodontics-chermside-dental-care.png

Orthodontia, also called orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, is a specialty field of dentistry that deals primarily with malpositioned teeth and the jaws: their diagnosis, prevention and correction.

Getting the teeth straight is the last phase of our brisbane based GP orthodontic treatment. First we look at how well supported the soft tissues are and how beautiful the smile is. This gives us goal towards which we aim, by using the natural growth phases available, and arch expansion to create space and avoid removing teeth when at all possible.Braces-Orthodontics-Invisalign-Chermside-Dental-Care.jpg

We also look into any underlying airway issues such as enlarged tonsils, adenoids and turbinates which may contribute to snoring, restless sleep, hyperactivity (in children), sleeping with the mouth open, waking up tired, frequent visits to the bathroom at night and more. By correcting these underlying issues, not only do you see significant health benefits, but we also see natural correction of crowded teeth, malocclusions and more stable end results.

Here at Chermside Dental Care, we offer a range of dental treatments including removable orthodontic appliances, arch expanders, full fixed ceramic and metal braces as well as clear aligners such as clearcorrect and invisalign.
